From May 23-24, 2022, Scott Cunningham will host CDE/CDHA’s Summer DemSem session and will present on several different topics relevant to social science researchers, particularly graduate students.
At Summer DemSem, Cunningham will present on several different topics relevant to social science researchers, particularly graduate students. Discussions will focus on: key methods used in empirical social science for estimating causal effects using non-experimental data; difference-in-differences methods; project management, including reproducibility, workflow, version control, and team science; and personal well-being and management.
Cunningham is a professor of economics at Baylor University. He specializes in the economics of risky behaviors, with a special focus on crime, black markets, abortion and sexually transmitted infections. His research has been published in the Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Urban Economics, Health Economics, among others.
