Franklin Wilson Memorial To Be Held September 25, 2021

We were deeply saddened by the passing of Franklin Wilson on December 22, 2020. Franklin was an exceptional scholar, teacher, mentor and friend, and he leaves behind a profound legacy in the Departments of Sociology and Afro-American Studies, in CDE/CDHA, and in the broader field.

A memorial celebration of the life of Franklin Wilson will be held:

Saturday, September 25 from 1-3 pm

The event will offer opportunities for remembering and reflecting about who Franklin was and his many contributions.

Speakers include Cora Marrett, Bob Hauser, Freida High W. Tesfagiorgis, Chas Camic, Carl Grant, Jim Elliott, Craig Werner, Aimée Dechter, Alberto Palloni, and Michael Thornton. We will also open the floor to other attendees who would like to share memories.
