We were deeply saddened by the passing of Franklin Wilson on December 22, 2020. Franklin was an exceptional scholar, teacher, mentor and friend, and he leaves behind a profound legacy in the Departments of Sociology and Afro-American Studies, in CDE/CDHA, and in the broader field.
An obituary for Franklin was just published in Footnotes of the American Sociological Association (scroll to the bottom).
A memorial celebration of the life of Franklin Wilson will be held:
Saturday, September 25 from 1-3 pm
