“The time children spend in child care can affect the rest of their life, said Alejandra Ros Pilarz, an early care and education researcher and assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work, in a recent presentation.
“Children who attend high quality ECE, especially children from families with low incomes, do better in school, are more likely to graduate high school and attend college, and they also tend to be in better health and have higher earnings in adulthood,” she said.”
